Grub boot loader problem

Hi,

I was having Win98 and Fedora 5 working well. Today I formatted HDA1 and installed Win98 fresh on the same drive. And then I got only Win98 booting (no Grub menu). Then using Fedora Rescue disk, I installed the Grub loader using the command "grub-install /dev/hda". Since then I got the Grub bootloader menu and able to boot Linux well. But Win98 does not boot, if I choose Win98, I get again the Grub bootloader menu freshly (countdown starting).

My disk geomentry structure.

I don't have much experience with grub and windows partitions, but does it help if it's changed to:

title Windows 98
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
makeactive
chainloader +1

The menu.lst entry should not have changed with what was done....Any chance that Windows got onto hda5 and not hda1?

Thanks for the reply.

pixellany:
I find that newly installed Win98 is found in /dev/hda1.

saivinob:
I think not needed so, because two time already I passed situation like this before and got everything fine. But the only question is how did I overcome, because I could not remember the steps.

So I believe some experts would help me here.
