Graphics card Suse compatible?

I have a desktop pc with the following hardware:

Celeron CPU 2.30 Ghz
256 Mb Ram
Intel (R) 82845G Graphics Controller.

I installed Suse 9.0 but X windows did not work as my settings were not automatically detected.

I put Mandrake 9.1 on instead and the settings were detected automatically and X windows worked fine. I have the system with a windows dual boot. Under windows the resolution setting is 1024 x 718 x 60 Hertz at 16 bits. The display is fine.

My question is how can i find out if Suse is incompatable with my graphics card? There is nothing for finding this at their website. I do want to put Suse back onto my system, but only if I can get X to work.

Thanks

Thanks - it looks like my card is not suse compatable yet as it is not listed as supported. But if it runs ok under mandrake - can it still be made to work by tailoring the Xconfig file - even though its not automatically detected?

Like i say it works fine with the older Mandrake distros, though i had the same problem (no auto detection) with slackware too.

i'd check out what driver mandrake is using, also there should be some documentation on the intel site, possibly even drivers to download.
good luck.
