Graphics acceleration not working on Acer Aspire One 722 using Linux Mint 10 Julia

I recently bought an Acer Aspire One 722 and installed Linux Mint on it. Everything is working well except for the graphics card; I am stuck in Vesa mode. I tried installing the proprietary fglrx driver but it didn't work; aticonfig says "aticonfig: No supported adapters detected". Googleing says that this graphics card is on the supported list. Any idea how to get it working?

Hello,

Could you tell us what graphic card you are using in the first place? You can find this out by running the following command, and posting the output. Thanks!
Code:

lspci
Cheers,

Josh

The AAO 722 uses a AMD Fusion CPU with inbuilt GPU, Mint 10's fglrx drivers are simply to old to recognize that GPU. It may work with Mint 11, but I don't know for sure. Anyways, you should be able to run the drivers from AMD's website.

Thank you. I downloaded the driver from the website and after two reboots it is working, although it says "unsupported hardware" in the bottom right-hand corner.
