I'm not really sure how I did it, but I got my mobility radeon 9200 working with ati fglrx drivers
Had lots of troubles with it last night, made a complete reinstall of slack, and now, suddenly, it works. I started by playing around with chipid's, couldn't get any working, then tried using the one that lspci gave me, 0x5c61, and wham, ~1900 fps in glxgears
. Funny thing though, fglrxinfo says it's an Mobility Radeon 9000....
Oh, I use kernel 2.6.3, and Xfree 4.3.6.
Can anyone explain this, or is it just luck? Ati's drivers are have no support for 9200, atleast it says so in their readme. I tried rebooting and it still works, so I don't think it was just something temporary...
