God what can i do?


I'm used GPRS 600U from Alltronix but includ CD driver is nothing driver for linux. So i download gprsec.tar. But i can't install that to my PCLinux ME. How to install that's to my PCLinux ME? Sorry, but i'm is new user of Linux! Thanx before!

First find out what chipset that USB modem has. Absolutely ALL "software configuration" I have seen for USB GPRS/3G modems so far (at least the modems I've used) has been 100% nonsense. It's all crapware for WinDuhs and does nothing useful; as far as I can tell the sole purpose is to keep users ignorant about the settings. As long as the modem does not need a firmware loader, and the controller chip has a Linux driver to expose the (usually emulated) serial port interface, you should be able to set up using pppd and chat.
