glxgears makes X to crash...

Hi all,
I have installed nvidia driver successfully, the logo appear, everything well until I try something that requires opengl: If I do a "glxinfo" disturbing lines appear on my monitor and If I try glxgears it runs fo a while, then my mouse and my keyboard don't respond and i have to restart my pc....
Any ideas?
Dri is running and my videocard is a Chaintech Nvidia GeforfeFX 5700.
Thanks in advance!

I would the same exact issue. It may be a problem with AGP. In your XF86Config file, add
Option "NvAGP" "0" after your driver "nvidia" if it isnt already in there.

Hope this helps you out.
