getting xmms to play radio stream

Hi

When I got to shoutcast.com in Windows and click on a radio station, Winamp starts and plays that station.

How can make xmms do the same thing in Linux(slack)? Currently, in Linux, Flash Player automatically starts when I click on a live stream in shoutcast.com.

Ta

There are a few ways to accomplish this, but the MediaPlayerConnectivity add-on should work nicely:

Yes. There's a configuration dialog for the add-on which lets you choose which program you wish to use for each type of media, so for m3u, mp3, etc., you can choose xmms.

cheers,

There's also a nice little app called StreamTuner you might want to check out. You can set it up to ues your choice of media players quite easily
