Getting WMP54G to work

Setup: D-Link Di-524 router
Linksys PCI adapter WMP54G
Distro: OpenSuse 10.3

For the life of me, I can't get the card to even find the wireless networks, even though the works just fine in Windows. I've tried the drivers from SuSE, ndiswrapper, even the opensource (well, there I did make and it groused about an invalid call). If anybody's had any luck with this (and I've tried googling it),I'd like to hear the details. Just to make sure all bases are covered, I'm running a Compaq Persario SR1950NX

Have you installed the firmware file from prism54.org? Far as I know, most/all wireless NIC's of the Prism54 variety need the firmware. Details of its usage and the download are both on prism54.org.

No. I thought the Linksys card had a RealTek chipset. In fact, prism02 is what's running on the d-link router and dongle, I think
