Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

get cpu0 and cpu1 to work like one ?

Hi, guys
I have two proccessors on my machine, which is internet router and shaper.
The shaper is very complex, I'm marking the packets to split the traffic and shape it. So these mark rules are very heavy. The external interface is the most overloaded one. Now the interrupts of this interface are redirected to cpu0 and this cpu is working in about 90% usage...this is NOT good!
the other proccessor is working in about 10-15%...
How can I make the both proccessor work like one...something like to share their resources?
I'm using kernel 2.4.29

thank you

I never really worked with dual processor but I heard that kernel 2.6.X is _really_ better about dual processing, especially if you use NTPL.
This is just a guess but maybe this may help
