generic dot matrix drivers does not work

I have EPSON LX 300+ 9-pin 80 col printer.

Redhat 9 generic driver for dot matrix printers does not work properly for this printer. Empty paper is given out by the printer.

Does anybody installed it correctly?

Thanks...
