hi just put lucid beta2 on, and the enhance driver crashes the box, wierd. it loops round the login window, with a frozen mouse!

any ideas where to get the driver from.

tried the hardware drivers button, but it can't find a thing now. mind i did remove all the nvidia modules

Well folks, i can't get around the looping login screen.

but i have bodged it! auto login, works. maybe it will work proper in 13 days time?

nVidia does not have Linux drivers that support the GeForce GTX 400 series yet. You are left with using vesa or nv as the driver for now until there is support. This is just a problem to early adopters while the rest is smart enough to wait. Give a few months although you are using an experimental version of Ubuntu, so no wonder you have problems.

it turned out, to be a problem with gdm. using a diff one all fine with the world.

i have never used windows drivers on linux. how do i go about this pls?

I did not say anything about using Windows drivers.
