Geforce Go 7950 GTX

Hi,

I have recently bought a new laptop, Rock Xtreme CTX Pro (www.rockdirect.com)

This is a fantastic machine but i have problems with the graphics card which is a Nvidia Geforce Go 7950 GTX. The nvidia drivers cause the X server to crash and there are fuzzy lines all over the screen even in run level 3! I have tried the most recent driver going back as far as november. Nvidia don't appear to support the card (they don't even have windows drives, i have to use propiety drivers on my drivers disk) but has anyone had any luck? Its the same on every disto i have tried. By the way, beforce I compile the drivers everything is fine accept i don't get hardware acceleration.

Thanks for the help.

The stable drivers for your disto of choice may not support the latest and greatest yet. Using the drivers from www.nvidia.com should do you well till your distro catches up. Going back probably won't help you, only going forward.
