Gaming mouse for linux

Hi,

I'm looking for a gaming mouse that completely works in linux. My hama slide s2 can crash the xserver completely if I accidently press the dpi or side buttons, which is why I use a different mouse for everything but games. I also know that many gaming mice have their problems with unsupported/non-working functions in linux but infos are rare.
I want a mouse that I can use everywhere and the buttons should work as intended (or at least not cause problems).

I was especially looking at the ozon smog (looks like a spaceship, but is cheap) and the steelseries xai (looks better, but expensive), but I'm open for everything, as long as it works.
Any suggestions or experiences with those (or other) models ?

The best gaming mouse I've bought is an A4tech x7, still using it, works great, and it was very cheap (especially for such a good mouse).
