can you give some more information? i'm guessing you're trying to install redhat because redhat's in your profile under distributions. i have the exact same video card and i've installed fedora core 2 on my system without any problems, but i don't know about redhat. where exactly does it fail in the install?

Here I go

Is Red Hat 9. I install it in text mode, because when starts Anaconda (the linux instaler program) trys to detect the VGA. Loads a VESA compatible VGA and then pum! The monitor halts and the led of it start blinking (like when you have a VGA problem). Then it says me that can't work in graphic mode (or something like that) and then starts the installation in text mode. When installation is complete, boots normally and then tries to load Win X system. Pum! again. Later it shows me two dialogs in text mode that haven't any text, with Yes and No buttons. The combinations of that options shows me another dialog, in which indicates me the error 'no screen found' between another things (but that is the only error, says). Well, I think I said you all the problems, if you need another information (or you can't understand this, forgive my english) tell me. OK? Thanks you very much!!

Saludos. Fabi醤

i tried installing redhat 9 on an old computer a while back and had the same problem. luckily i had a spare monitor to try and it worked. i'm not really sure how to solve your problem, but maybe it's a problem with the monitor like the problem i had before.
