Hi,
This is my first post and I'm not sure if this is an appropriate forum for my problem but I'll give it a try...
I have a USB <-> Serial convertor device that uses the ftdi-sio kernel module (using kernel 2.6.15). I am able to connect my serial device (a basic stamp) to the convertor, but after a while, it fails:
Code:
drivers/usb/serial/ftdi_sio.c: error from flowcontrol urb
drivers/usb/serial/ftdi_sio.c: update_mctrl Error from MODEM_CTRL urb: DTR LOW, RTS LOW
ftdi_sio ttyUSB0: FTDI USB Serial Device converter now disconnected from ttyUSB0
I did a little searching on the ftdi_sio project (sourceforge.net/projects/ftdi-usb-sio/) mailing list, but I didn't figure out my problem. When googling, I mostly found patches for the ftdi_sio module but I couldn't tell if they are current. The most recent dates in the changelog for the kernel version are July 2004, versus February 2003 from the project site.
Any thoughts? Looking at the error message in the source (and from the forum), it seems like it may be when changing baud rate, but once I initialize the serial port, I am leaving it (pyserial).
Thank you for your time!
