framebuffer: radeon x300
Hi!
I have framebuffer working on Dell Inspiron 6000, with Radeon X300 using 2.6.12.5 kernel. The funny thing is, it works with VESA VGA graphics support. Shouldn't ATI Radeon display support be used? It didn't work anyway. Is there an advantage of using ATI Radeon display support over VESA VGA graphics support? If ATI Radeon display support is able to work (framebuffer), does it have any conflict with ATI fglrx? Thanks Distro: Slackware-current |

I would like to update on this post.
For nvidia card (geforce4 mx460), if you use the nvidia framebuffer in the kernel. The NVidia driver can't load. And it is best to use vesa framebuffer. Nicest resolution. |
