For the Love of GOD, HELP!
I read these forums every day and use them as a problem-solving database. I have been trying to get my Lexmark X73 on Mandrake 9.1 to work at least decently but with no success. After a week of troubleshooting I realized that I should ASK for help. lol. Anyway, my X73 for the most part work, the scanner was automatically installed by MDK9.1, I was able to get printing going after an hour or so, but the fact is that the print out look like CRAP, it has white bands all over the place and it all looks like junk. Any help?

tried gimp-print and z42, still lots of white banding but the weird thing is that no matter what the mandrake linux logo/text always looks perfect on the test page...?

I GOT IT WORKING!...well sort of, it only works when I use the color cartridge only, which is kinda annoying, but i think with some driver updates and tweaking I should be able to get it to work to at least 75% of normalcy, suggestions are welcome.

You may want to try to tweak with the driver options.
