fedora fglrx-"Unknown symbol capable"
Testing out different distros, didnt have any problems with the ATI card and SuSE, but thing will not load in Fedore Core 2(2.6.1).
When I try to load fglrx with /sbin/modprobe i get this:
FATAL: Error inserting fglrx (/lib/modules/2.6.1-1.65custom/extra/fglrx.ko): Unkown symbol in module, or unkown parameter (see dmesg)
Output of dmesg is as follows:
fglrx: module license ....blah blah I know its not GPL
fglrx: Unkown symbol capable
I tried googling this, to no avail. To clarify this, this is NOT the "Unkown symbol VMALLOC_VMADDR error". And it is also not a agp issue, agpgart loads fine, though the driver still gets the same error whether using the agpgart module I compiled with the kernel or the internal one. Does anyone have any ideas?
Im gonna try downloading the clean kernel sources(without Red Hat's touch) and see how t works with a better kernel.
