Fedora core 5 + Unknown VIA card
so i just installed fedora core 5 and the video driver is extremly slow. i am moving from fedora 4 where it seemed to recognize my video card (on motherboard) but for some reason fedora 5 cant...
lspci says 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. Unknown device 3344 (rev 01) the via drivers are installed... [root@pc206 ~]# rpm -ql xorg-x11-drv-via /usr/lib/libviaXvMC.so.1 /usr/lib/libviaXvMC.so.1.0.0 /usr/lib/libviaXvMCPro.so.1 /usr/lib/libviaXvMCPro.so.1.0.0 /usr/lib/xorg/modules /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/via_drv.so /usr/share/hwdata/videoaliases/via.xinf /usr/share/man/man4/via.4.gz and xorg.conf is using the vesa driver. (if i used via for driver it cant start X) anyone run into this problem? or know how to fix it? |
