I have a Logitech wireless optical PS/2 mouse. I have it attached to a KVM switch. It all works fine with RedHat 6,7,8,9 and Fedora 1 but will not scroll up on Fedora 2 and now 3. I suspect it is a problem with the 2.6 kernel. When I try to scroll up in Firefox or Thunderbird or Konqueror I get a pop up box with options like "back", "select all", etc. In other places like the Terminal I get eradic results when I scroll up -- sometimes it seems to work and other times it causes pop ups and "*" at the command line. I have serched around and found no answer yet. This is quite annoying. BTW, I have a similar problem with Window$ XP but I just thought it was another Window$ feature.

I did another experment, I put the mouse directly into the PS/2 port and not via the KVM switch and I don't have the problem. Any Ideas how I can still use my mouse and a KVM switch? As I said the mouse/KVM works on RedHat 9 and Fedora 1.

A little more information. When I plugged the mouse back into the KVM switch after the above experment it worked fine, both up and down. If I switch to another computer and then come back to Fedora 3 I have the original problem. If I "reset" the KVM switch I don't have the problem (until I switch to another computer and back).
As I mentioned above I have the same (or similar) problem with Window$ XP but not with Window$ 2000 or Win 98se. It seems that Microsoft XP and the 2.6 kernel have something in common, they both dislike the KVM keep-alive logic.
