fedora 16 serial console problem
have had a serial terminal for years attached to my unit, running in vt100 mode
it seems every other version of fedora is changing how terminals (not just serial) are handled
I had the terminal working fine in fedora 15, then i upgraded to 16 and now when i log in the echoing $TERM returns linux, instead of vt100-w and 80 columns instead of 132
export COLUMNS=132 works for one command then it reverts to 80
/etc/systemd/system/getty.target.wants/getty@ttyS0.service
