FC4 volume control

I have FC4 installed on a system with no audio (no built-in chip or add-in card). When I log in to Gnome desktop, I get a, "No volume control element/device found" error. How can I get rid of this?
Thanks.

Search to see if you have a "gnome-volume-control" rpm installed. If you do, remove it.

It could be part of the gnome-media package.
