Hi,

I'm hoping I can get a little feedback on some instalation problems im facing. I have some experience as a linux user, and I have installed it on relatively ordinary pcs no problems, but this is my first shot at a full blown server setup.

Installing fedora core 3 (FC3) 86_64.

The MB is a MSI K8D Master 3-133 FA4R, which has an onboard silicon image 3114 SATA controller (sil3114). There is also an adaptec ASR-2200S in there too, but I havn't gotten to that yet.

The SATA controller has been setup as a RAID 1 array using the bios. It is being recognized at post time and by the OS, but at partition time both disks are being presented to the OS, wheras I expected to see just 1 logical disk.

Did I miss something there?

Yikes, it was about 1 minute after I wrote and sent this that the answer (maybe) was revealed.

Apparently the guy who put the hardware together hasn't installed something needed for RAID1, the HD cage or something...

Hopefully that makes sense.
