fc3 lockup

I recently changed cases to an antec with 380w power, and upgraded to fc3. When I run fc3 it works for a while, but if I try to run an rpm command the hard drive bangs the read head sounds like it trys to spin up and freezes the system.

I have tried several different hard drives. could it be the power supply, the motherboard, or fc3.

any help is appriciated.

Plus help us more buy telling more about the comp. cpu speed, how many hard drives, etc...... If you have alot of accy. and a big cpu say over 1.5 ghz it may be the power supply.
