FC16/Centos 6.2 - HDMI connection to LCD TV

I have been using linux for years, and really love it.

Now at work I got a new laptop and will have to use it for a business presentation. This new laptop having nVidia already installed, comes only with the HDMI output option to connect to the projector.

Worth to mention that previously I was using FC15 and HDMI worked fine without a hitch.

I have installed in my laptop CentOS 6.2 and FC16.

I followed the instructions found here for both OS:
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=263443

For FC16 it does not allow you to tick the box 'mirror displays'. Someone has some suggestion how to get the FC allowing you to do it?

On the other hand, on CentOS, it allows you to tick the option 'mirror displays', but it does not work either.

The TV gives the same message: 'no source found'.

Both for TV LCD and projector the behavior is the same.

Could someone please ched some light on it?

All comments and suggestions are highly appreciated. :hattip:

Ok. Just got it working for CentOS and FC. I hope that eventually this can be usefull for others:

Instead of using Display, when having nVidia installed, go to nVidia control panel: nVIDIA X Server Settings > X Server Display Configuration : click on 'Detect Display' and in Configuration: 'TwiwView', then click apply.

But the sound output through HDMI is still missing. Any suggestions?
