FastWrite locking up my Linux?? Maybe?
Ok so I needed better HL2 performance.... I got some help enabling FastWrite for my video card. But ever since I added the options or what not to my configs my system RARELY comes up if I have to reboot. This morning I tried 5 times and couldn't get anything to come up. I had to give up and goto work.
Last night it was booting up so I changed to another term while it booted...once I did that the login prompt was there but X loaded up fine over the top of it before I could login. It didn't matter, X acctually worked that time.
But could by enabling FastWrite for my video and adding the enable code to my configs, could it be locking up my system?
Is there a way I can get back to my system in failsafe or something so I can edit the configs back to the default?
I don't know how to use grub to login to failsafe.
