Familiar Linux GPE On iPAQ 3970
Hello folks!
I'm off windows for good. I'm running ubuntu now primarily and I'm only using windows sparingly on my laptop (work stuff) I'm using openSUSE on other machines. Now it is time to migrate over to Familiar Linux GPE on my iPAQ 3970. This is GREAT hardware ... no complaints other that it's PocketPC 2002 OS is outdated and not supported well on my Linux machines. I've been reading on handhelds.org how to install on the device and seems seamless enough but I can't seem to get to go. Now, admittedly I've only tried to use the CompactFlash card method but it won't give me a bootloader so I'm willing to try this another way provided there is low-risk of bricking my otherwise flawless PDA. I love it and I only paid $55 for it on ebay. Any help with getting this to work would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
