Extra buttons on MS Trackball Explorer

I have a MS Trackball Explorer which has the left & right buttons, & the scroll wheel on the left side of the trackball & 2 extra buttons on the right. I would like to map the 1 button on the right side to a right mouse click, & the second buttonn on the right to switch to the next window, like alt-tab. I have read a couple of how-to's on configuring the Intellimouse explorer but they talk about the 2 extra buttons for back & forward in Mozilla. Any ideas on getting the right mouse button & swap windows functions working. This is the mouse section from XF86Conf file

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "ExplorerPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
Option "Buttons" "7"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "6 7"
EndSection

Any help would be appreciated.

i have an intellimouse explorer and found this to work perfectly. it allows me to use the right/left buttons to go back and forward in konqueror and firefox.

With a little fiddling, you should be able to get it working too

Buttons 6 and 7 are the two on the right side of the trackball and buttons 4 and 5 are scrolling buttons. At least, that's how it's working for me.

...I just switched to this mouse. I like it much more than the Logitech Trackman that it replaced (for Windows, at least), but I can't get any good tracking in Linux. How do you find the control and tracking? a little jittery and jumpy, at times?
