Angry Extra 2 USB ports not working

I recently put a new motherboard in my computer, an Aopen Ak77-600N (based on the VIA KT600 chipset). I couldn't get USB 2.0 working, but that's ok, speed isn't much of a problem . The problem is that there are 4 USB ports on the back of the mobo, but only 2 of them work. The other 2 show no signs of life whatsoever. There's no jumper setting for turning them on on the motherboard, so I might be missing something in the kernel? I'm using 2.6.7 with the usb-uhci drivers.

I don't think it is a kernel-problem... I have an almost similar VIA KT-sumtin'- mobo. It has four usb ports on the backside, and two on the front. The two in the front is not working what so ever.

I even tried installing original mobo-drivers in windows but still no life!! They seem to be fine connected when i open my box...

For some reason they are just completely dead. No response, regardless of OS, when I plug anything in. If I try to dig in a bit, I also discover that only four slots are detected in the hardware profiles (both win and lin).

That's pretty cheap of them... Thanks, I think I'll do a websearch for the problem, now that I know that it's not Linux.
