Well, I've got an external (usb 2.0) hard disk with integrated usb hub, and I'm trying to make it work on Debian Sarge with a 2.4.27 (I guess) kernel - a completely fresh install, so at the moment I only have the basic system and an X-server with KDE working. The disk has a big FAT32 (~190GB) and a smaller NTFS (~90GB) partition, which works perfectly fine on Windows, but on Linux I can't figure out what exactly is wrong with it.
dmesg | grep usb leaves me with

To me as a Linux newbie it looks like
something is wrong, but I got no idea at all, where to start. Does anyone have an idea or a good howto?
