exists webcam philips spc210 driver?

I don't find linux drivers for this device. If load Win driver with ndiswrapper I obtain an inverted and faded image. I believe that generic driver of distro Ubuntu Edgy interferes with Win driver. I don't know its driver name.

What is the name, make and model of your webcam?
Also, with the webcam plugged into the USB port, enter a console and as user 'root', enter the command 'lsusb' and post the results here please.
:)

UPDATE: spca5xx/LE should be the kernel driver/module required for that device. It doesn't need ndiswrapper.

Will work if the output of lsusb contain:
Code:

(...) ID 0471:032d (...)
Check here: http://mxhaard.free.fr/index.html

ID of the device is '0471:032d'.

Spca5xx driver works in the same way that to ndiswrapper. I obtain the faded and vertically inverted image.

If unloading driver by defect 'gspca' not finds the device '/dev/video0'. Perhaps this driver it interferes with spca5xx driver?

I think it best to NOT have two similar/conflicting drivers installed for ONE device, yes.

dissident_goodchild 05-03-2007 02:52 AM

What I can do then?

dissident_goodchild 05-17-2007 10:13 AM

I am lost.

There is way to configure the device to invert the image and to adjust the colors?

Only use the Ubuntu driver by defect, I don't use ndiswrapper.
