Ethernet. NTL cable connecting issue


redhat 7.3 ntl cable broadband

Hi i would like help on how to connect to the internet using redhat 7.3 and a ethernet ntl/cable connection.

i went into into ip config and set the dhcp to dynamic but this still doesnt work.

can anyone tell me how to configure the ethernet
and how to configure the system to connect to the internet please

that really is it... your modem will act as a simple dhcp client for the connected system.... try just running "dhcpcd eth0" to bring it up instantly. after that, run /sbin/ifconfig to see the state of play on eth0.
