and because of this I could not get IP with dhclient for eth0 on OpenSUSE 11.1. How do I solve this?

To be sure of my guess, you'd have to ls the device. eth0 is not proof that you are talking about the same nic.
One some boards there is some support left over for either other card models or upgrades but the full chipset is not onboard. This is what I am suspecting.
Suse, and OpenSuse offer more enterprise level drivers and that could be why it thinks what I suggest. The nic you desire is not included while a more high end or part of is found on motherboard.
It could be that you have to blacklist a driver in OpenSuse and get the correct one working too.

From a rough guess it looks like you are using a realtek
To get more then see lspci | grep Network on each.
ethtool eth0
If ethtool complains then try mii-tool -v
