Ethernet Controller: Attansic Technology Corp. L2, compile/install problems.

I need some assistance. I will cut to the chase as to the problem..

Installed a new motherboard(ASUS P5GC-MX/1333), network interface didn't come up, the linux modules were available on the cd, only had to build them, thats where the problems started. Got errors building them, really could use some help.

System: Slackware 12.2 KERNEL 2.6.27.7
lspci: Attansic Technology Corp. L2 100 Mbit Ethernet Adapter (rev a1)

#
#

bash-3.1# make install
Makefile:95: *** Linux kernel source not configured - missing autoconf.h. Stop.

#
#

If someone could help out, it would be greatly appreciated. I can supply any information needed.

Thanks guy, and long live slack,
Johnny

curious - that is the ethernet card that comes with Asus Eee 701 IIRC. Works fine.... well OK, there is a bug when using ubuntu.

You need the kernel header files. Your distro (Slackware?) probably has a package for them.

Hey Simon, how's it going.

Thanks for the reply. Nope, got the headers and kernel source files. I'm running Slackware 12.2.

Thanks Simon.
