Ethernet card support for IBM R50 Series laptop

Hello,

I have installed Redhat Linux on IBM R50 Series of laptop. The ethernet card is not detected/recognized. I am not sure of the model information of the network card (I think it's Intel pro 100B). Kindly let me know this information too if someone is aware.

Distro and Kernel info as follows,
Redhat Linux 9.0
Kernel version 2.4.20-8

Following is the output form "lspci" command.

=====================================================

Does kernel contain required driver? If yes, what I have to do to make the card work. If no, where I can find the driver and how I can configure it.

Is kernel compilation necessary for the purpose?

Thanks for your help.

Devel.
