Epson Printer Users
 

I am planning to buy a new ink jet printer and would like to hear recommendations
from actual users about print quality, feature support, and will it truly work with
LINUX. I've read compimentary reports about the Epson C82 and wonder if the
C84 is supported as well. I am currently using RH 9 kernel 2.4.20-8

Looks like the C84 works under linux, using the Epson Stylus C82 GIMP-Print driver.

I always use EPSON printers with ease in linux. C82 is wonderfull: fast, waterproof, live colors. The printer head is not very tough and the ink is somewhat expensive though.

I also have Canon i850. It is not so good in linux. Although the printer head is easier to replace and the ink is cheaper I don't like it much.

You can't go wrong with EPSON ;-)
