Epson Perfection 2400 help with FC4

have an Epson perfection 2400 USB flatbed sccanrer, I cannot seem to get it working in FC4. I have the latest version of sane-backends, xsane and saneinstalled via rpm. When i run sane-find-scannerit shows the Epson USB scanner Vendor 0x04b8 product 0x011b @libusb. The man page shows the scanner as being supported , I have uncommented the epson line in the dll.conf file. I also have uncommented the USB line in epson.conf. However, If i run scanimage -L or xsane i get an error stating no devices found. Can anyone give me any specific hints, tips suggestion or config info that wil laid in ghetting this device in FC4.
Thanks
