Enabling direct rendering on an Intel 865G grpahics chipset.

I've just installed NeverWinter Nights on my SimplyMEPIS 3.3.1 (Kernel 2.6.10) but have found that it runs very slowly...

When I checked glxinfo it said...

Code:

So I think the problem is the fact that there is no direct rendering...

I have an Intel 865G graphics chipset, which has been patched, and I know that it is capable of running NWN (The same computer is running Window$, which NWN runs in fine).

So how do Enable direct rendering?

Check out this link:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/history/354409

It talks about getting direct rendering enabled with an Intel 810 chipset. The procedure is the same. It involves editing your xorg.conf file.
