Echo Indigo IO PCMCIA on Slackware 10.2

Hi,

Is there support for the PCMCIA version of the Echo Indigo IO with the latest ALSA drivers?

I've tried installing them but there is no driver in /lib/modules/2.4.31/kernel/sound/pcmcia

.....

Thanks for any help!

I have also had no luck getting my Indigo to work, although I currently have Windows on my laptop and Slackware on a desktop so I haven't tried for a while.

I never understood why the driver didn't work with a fresh install of Slackware when it seemed that the latest ALSA drivers should be there. You might want to try to install the ALSA drivers from http://alsa-project.org/ and read up about the Echo Indigo IO there.

Please post if you have any luck.

Cheers

Hi,

I was using the latest ALSA drivers from alsa-project.org... seems that the PCI version of the card is supported but the PCMCIA card isn't..
Echo released the code for their cards, if only I could code ASM/C/C++ I would make my own driver!!

I was thinking of going for an external USB card (like the M-Audio range) and use that, as I use Windows for production on this laptop and I just like using Linux for fun (coding/internet/whatever)....

No luck so far though, oh well :)
