These DVDs are simply data files burned to the DVD, not video DVDs. Any suggestions? TIA, Ken p.s. I just tried copying the DVD after disconnecting the DVD drive from the virtual machine and it seems to be working(?) A resource conflict between the host and guest(?) |

One other thing I have found. I have a spindle of Memorex DVD+R blanks which are experiencing high failure rates. I had used 3 spindles of these blanks with no problems. The blanks from the last batch will fail to burn under Linux about half the time. I even replaced the burner and things got worse. Interestingly they work better when burned from a Windows XP virtual machine running on the host and using the same burner. The disks which had reading conflicts with a running VM were from this same batch.
