when i run
kino as root from the console (or even starting it from the applications menu as a normal user) it crashes when i press the capture button. i have looked everywhere and haven't found a solution. i can grab the video with
dvgrab fine, without problems. would be nice to use just one application though. when i open an avi file in kino that i created with dvgrab, kino crashes just the same. pretty annoying.
anothing annoying thing is fedora core 4's placement og
raw1394. it is placed here:
/dev/raw/raw1394
so dvgrab and kino don't see it and i have to make a symbolic link to
/dev/raw1394 every time i restart the computer:
Code:
ln -s /dev/raw/raw1394 /dev/raw1394
how do i make this link permanent or make fedora core put it in the right place permanently?
