Dual Head with ATI and i815 won't work

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Hi all,

I have been lurking here for quite some time learning Linux. Very good discussion board with a lot of information and a lot of good mentors.

I am trying to get a dual head system to work. I keep getting this error in XFree86.0.log:

(WW) I810: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:0:2:0) found
(--) Chipset i815 found

As you can see from XF86Config-4 I do have BusID PCI:0:2:0 and this should be correct as lspci says so. I also have agpgart loaded. What's up here? Did I miss something.

I have searched and searched. Tried several different things from posts here and nothing seems to work for me.

System is Intel 1.1Ghz, PCI ATI video, onboard Intel 82815 video. Debian Sarge GNU/Linux, kernel 2.4.27-2-386.

I have been using the ATI and it works fine. I can't seem to get the i815 to work. I can get the i815 working in text mode if I change the primary video in BIOS but then the ATI is in text mode too.

Here is the pertinent information

And here is Xfree log with a lot of the ATI stuff removed so I could meet the max characters for the post.
