dual AMD CPU support
I want to switch to Linux, but which version do I buy? and by whom, Red Hat or SuSI? I am running a dual AMD board, ATI AIW 8500 video, and Audigy 2 sound, I video edit. Please help, Thank You.

as for dual support, most distros will have an smp kernel with it, so that won't tie you to any specific distro. additionally hardwa4re suport is very very rarely distro speicifc, it's part of the kernel, which is part of all varieties of linux.

If video editing is your main purpose, before making the decision to switch to linux you should investigate software. You might investigate BeOS, though I'm not sure it will support your hardware.
