Wink Drivers for Compaq keyboards

Hi,
I have these compaq keyboards, model #: SK-2805, SK-2800, SK-2855, SDM4540UL. These have Internet control buttons, quick access buttons etc... I want to use these on Mandrake Linux, does anyone knows of where I can find drivers for these. And while we are on the subject, how do I go about to install the driver?

Cheers

Hi

Normally you dont need drivers for a keyboard , it's more about
finding out the keycodes that each multimedia key produces
and remapping it.
For starters read this;
http://www.mandrakeuser.org/docs/xwin/xkeys.html

notice the part under mapping new keys

http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/mini/Intkeyb/index.html
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Keyboard-a...ole-HOWTO.html

also has some usefull info
use xev to get your keycode
use xmodmap or xbindkeys to map them

good luck

Hi and thanks, I have some work ahead of me I can see! Has anyone actually done that with an Internet keyboard, sounds very involved, but I think that would be really cool to get that set up

cheers
