Unhappy drivers conversion


Hi

I have a equipment, it is a laser carvering machine. it came with a Win98 driver three years ago. Can anyone tell me how to convert the driver, so that make it available under Linux. (I can provide the win98 driver)

What kind of interface does it use to connect to the computer? Reverse enginering a driver can be difficult.

it is quite strange, it uses UTP-100 cable to transmit data, but it connect to the com port (yes, there is a adapter between cable and the com port). actually, the transimssion speed is quite slow, I think it is due to it use com port to output.
