i am a linux newbie.right now comfortable with rh9.0.i am not able to install hewlett packard 1210psc all-in-one i.e prtr-scanner-copier on usb.
i have tried to install hpijs but printer is not configured.
may i request help.

There is a driver available for some HP psc's; I believe your 1210 is supported. You can d/l the source code and instructions at http://hpinkjet.sourceforge.net/
The driver there was for the 1200 series, among others. Did you d/l it and give it a try? I know when I was trying to get my HP 932 working under Mac OS X, I had to d/l a driver for the HP 930 instead because that was all they had at the time (that was about two years ago). It turned out to work flawlessly.

yes as per ur guidance i did download and installed hpijs 1.5 but during setting in redhat9 the hp1210psc option does'nt figure.so i tried 900psc and 2100psc but to no avail.maybe some other modifivation.can i go to CUPS and do it?
