There is a driver available for some HP psc's; I believe your 1210 is supported. You can d/l the source code and instructions at http://hpinkjet.sourceforge.net/

The driver there was for the 1200 series, among others. Did you d/l it and give it a try? I know when I was trying to get my HP 932 working under Mac OS X, I had to d/l a driver for the HP 930 instead because that was all they had at the time (that was about two years ago). It turned out to work flawlessly.
