driver for ADI AD1985 "82801EB AC'97 Audio" sound card ??? (Asus P4C800)

Any1 knows where u can find a better driver for "82801EB AC'97 Audio" sound card ("Sound Max Integrated Digital Audio ADI AD1985 AC'97 6 channel audio codec") ?
This sound card is integrated on the ASUS P4C800 mother board.
The present driver brought by mandrake 9.1, 2.4.21.0.13mdk, needs to put the speakers on the "line in" jack plug instead of the speaker "line out" one.

If I remember right, the sound driver for the onboard p4C800 is just another sb audigy rebadged. Most likely, it loaded the right driver. Two things to worry about, if this is a dual boot, the active audio channel is a different plug then in windows, no kidding... The other big problem is that on Mandrake, using the alsa modules, the sound is muted by default. First check if there are a ton of modules listed under:

/sbin/lsmod

The kernel module, emu10k1 has a package of tools available with it that will called emu-tools, that I think will allow you to juggle the output ports. However, it doesn't work with the ALSA modules, its a different driver, so you'll have to rip out alsa by the roots.
