drive partitioning

I am trying to set up a hard drive with the following specs:

81.9 Gigs

16 Heads 63 secotrs / track 158816 Cyl
units = cyl of 1008 +512 = 516096 bytes

I want to have a

/boot partition ( Not sure how big or what partition type, this is the target?)
/swap ( not sure how big, or what type of partition, this will be designated target)
/ ( not sure how big, or what type of partition)
/home (not shb, or wtop, or what the purpose of this type of partition is?) There is suppose to be a good reason for having this partition though.

/boot: 100MB
swap:4/3 of Ram size
/home: depends on, what you want to save in /home
/ (root): remaining

Swap has to be in its own partition.

I always give one partition to a Linux as it is easier to control. /boot, /home, /root etc are automatically subdirectories to / without me worry about their spaces. That makes boot simpler to.

I think Linux will use the hdd is LBA mode with 255 heads and 63 sectors.

Personally I would make:

/boot 100M
swap: 512M
/ 1.5G - 2G
/home Remaining

However it is mostly up to personal choice. Everyone will tell you something different.
