Question Does PCMCIA card Roland Sound Canvas SCP-55 have a Linux driver?

I am thinking about buying a new laptop, and I want to use e.g. Rosegarden-4 and connect a MIDI keyboard to it.

I already have an old Roland Sound Canvas SCP-55 PCMCIA adio/midi card, which
has beautiful midi sounds.

Does anyone know if there is some support for this card in Linux.
I have searched forums, and in '98 there was some talk about support, then
there is no more information. I suppose it doesn't work, but would like
to know for sure.

I would also like to know of other solutions to connect a MIDI keyboard to a laptop.

Thanks

Rudolph Emetson.

Have a look at notemidi: http://www.michaelminn.com/linux/notemidi

It can use the serial port of a laptop to connect midi-devices.
