Do External USB Burners Work on rh...if So HOW?

I purchased a Sony external DVD Burner. It uses USB. How can I get Linux to recognize it?

I have had *serious* issues with those CD Burners even in Windows. So when you are troubleshooting be suspicious of both Linux and the drive. Sorry I can't help more, I left that burner in the trash when I moved overseas recently.

I think you can mount it as a scsi device, but maybe you should compile the kernel again.

I've played around with dmesg and I can see that my system recognizes the device. I believe I can make it work. Just need to figure out how to mount it.
